Cubs Sign Takatsu

Cubs Sign Takatsu
Well here's a shocker, the Cubs have signed pitcher Shingo Takatsu to a minor league contract, with an invitation to spring training.

Takatsu spent the 2006 and 2007 seasons with the Yakult Swallows where he went 0-5 with 13 SVs and a 6.17 ERA in 25 games.

In a 2 year major league career with the White Sox and Mets, Takatsu [Baseball-Reference] went 8-6 with 27 SVs and a 3.38 ERA in 99 games.

About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
