Hideki Matsui might not be ready to return to Japan next year, even so, the Hanshin Tigers will be sending two fairly high level execs (managing director Kenji Ageshio and Koshien Stadium chief Kazuo Awai) to check in on Matsui to see how he's doing.

Maybe they should invest more in bringing back Kaz Matsui instead of Hideki! His playing days seem basically over in MLB, but maybe he could still play well in Japan.

I think Hedeki would pay for his contract much more than Kaz would though.

No, Hideki's definitely the better player. My point was I'm just not sure why Hanshin is wasting their time right now, as Hideki seems in no hurry to come back to NPB. Kaz looks more or less done in MLB, so I'd see him coming back sooner.
