CPBL: New Signings
The China Trust Whales have signed 31 year old third baseman Brian Becker. In 2005 the right handed hitter batted .299 with a whopping 41 home runs and 110 RBIs in 123 games for the Nashua Pride of the independent Atlantic League before being signed by the Chicago White Sox organization.

In other transactions, the Makoto Cobras have added 29 year old right handed pitcher James Lira. Last season Lira was 5-1 with a 2.49 ERA in 34 games for the Coastal Bend Aviators of the independent Central Baseball League.

For the Brother Elephants, Joey Dawley, Hayato Nakamura, and Chuck Smith will make up their starting rotation.
